Artist's Comments
These are promo shots for the band Vistalance. They are based out of Phoenix, AZ. They are probably my fav. band that I shoot photos for out of all the photos I do for bands. So I explianed to the band that if I rented some studio lighting the photos would be redicilously good. After they agreed I went to Tempe Camera and setup the rentals of the Profoto 7B's.
The Profoto 7B's is a really nice system. Its a portable powerpack that is powered off of a battery in the unit. If I had $8000 I would buy this, but I dont really have $8000.
I set up a softbox on the right side of this shot and also a flash setup to the left to get some hard lighting coming from that side.
Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this!

That equipment sure can produce some beautiful images!
But then again, it wouldn't be able to do much if the photographer behind it all was unskilled. In your situation, you bring this equipment to its optimum level.
